Wadebridge Chiropractor : Jay Morrell (Chiropractor)

I grew up in New Zealand as part of a family who regularly received Chiropractic care. Chiropractic has been an essential part of my life since I was 5 years old. I practiced martial arts from an early age and played competitive rugby, athletics and softball. I attribute my regular Chiropractic care, a healthy diet and an active lifestyle to my being able to recover from injuries quickly and perform and participate to the level I did.

I come from a family who all have regular Chiropractic care. I was inspired to become a Chiropractor by observing my own Chiropractor, seeing his passion for what he did and experiencing the improvements it made in my own life. I am grateful to my parents for exposing me to Chiropractic at such an early stage in my life, for allowing me to learn very early on about the importance of the health of your spine and nervous system and subsequently for encouraging me to pursue my studies. I understand the human body is capable of whatever you challenge it to be with a combination of good nutrition, rest, exercise and in my opinion Chiropractic care.

I chose the New Zealand School of Chiropractic because I’m proud to be a Kiwi and the institution was rapidly gaining a worldwide reputation for excellence. Today it stands as one of the pillars of Chiropractic education and has students from all over the world attending. I believe the school gave me one of the most complete platforms from which to enter the world as a Chiropractor. I graduated from Auckland University in 2000 with a Bachelors Degree in Physiology and from the NZSC in 2002 with a Bachelor in Chiropractic. All together I completed 6.5 years of study to gain my qualification. I can’t think of a single thing I’d rather be doing and enjoy the everyday challenges being a Chiropractor presents.

I know appropriate Chiropractic care creates profound and lasting change. I believe Chiropractic care is essential for individuals to have ideal health and optimised function. I specialise in a field of Chiropractic known as Chiropractic Biophysics of Posture (CBP). This technique is scientifically researched and validated and reinforces my Philosophical beliefs through it’s explanation of and understanding of the disciplines of Physics, Biomechanics and Neurology. I do not exclusively practice this technique however, and will happily modify my technique to suit the individual and their previous experience with Chiropractic. I believe it is vital that people have the opportunity to be the best version of themselves so that they can contribute to a healthier society. I myself continue to get adjusted 2 to 3 x per month on average.

Please feel free to come and see me at the clinic and allow me to talk through the choices available to you and address the multitude of myths and fears surrounding Chiropractic. I look forward to meeting you and your family. Don’t put your health on hold.

Wadebridge Chiropractor : Kylie More (Chiropractor)

I was born and bred in NZ on the coastal shores of the Bay of Plenty and spent my entire childhood and adolescence surrounded by breathtaking scenery. I was an outdoorsy kid lucky enough to grow up in a family and an environment that naturally fostered an early passion for all things natural, healthy and wholesome. As such it was only natural that my vocation would combine all these things. Both of my parents were avid sports people encouraging in myself and my two sisters an early love for sport, recreation, physical ability and personal responsibility. Chiropractic care has been a part of my awareness for as long as I can remember as my father has been seeing the same family of Chiropractors for over 35 years!

My father was instrumental in suggesting a career in Chiropractic during my first year of University (where I was initally studying human nutrition), and so I graduated in 2000 from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Psychology and in 2002 from the NZ School of Chiropractic with a Bachelors in Chiropractic and the top awards for Academic excellence and Clinical excellence. At that time it took 6.5 years of dedication to become a world class Chiropractor. I worked first in NZ for 2 years then joined the team at Wadebridge Chiropractic Clinic in 2004. I have a special interest in Womens’ health, pregnancy and pediatrics and am completing further education with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). I am currently Webster Technique certified:

The Webster protocol is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated. http://icpa4kids.com/about/webster_technique.htm

I am really honoured to have babies and children under my care and love acting as an advocate for women throughout their pregnancies. It is my aim to be part of a team that ensures the pregnancy and labour a woman desires and deserves. I am passionate about health, vitality and wellness.  I have so many areas of interest I can’t keep up with them all! I attend yearly seminars to keep my knowledge up to date and in touch.

The NZ College of Chiropractic (formerly School of Chiropractic) is highly regarded throughout the world for shaping technical excellence, academic prowess and philosophically strong Chiropractors. I am very proud to be a NZ graduate and believe my education was the perfect template for the Chiropractor I am today. I am a first generation Chiropractor and am immensely grateful to my parents for affording me this opportunity.

My personal ethos is simple. Stay true to and align yourself with natural laws, the more congruent you are with this the healthier you will be. Our natural design is extraordinary, miraculous and inherently complex. I believe if you nurture your body with wholesome food, regular exercise, adequate rest, good healthy contemplation and regular Chiropractic care then I think it’s simple. You will be a better version of yourself than you would otherwise be if you didn’t do those things.

My Practice ethos is much the same, we are each responsible and ultimately accountable for our choices. Health is about vitality and abundant energy. Movement invigorates you, food builds you, rest is what regenerates you, healthy thoughts feed and nourish your mind and soul and Chiropractic adjustments optimize your individual function. I practice a number of different techniques and am happy to adapt the technique to suit the individual.

Chiropractic is an integral part of my life and of all my family members. I am checked and adjusted weekly or as needed. Myself and my partner ‘walk our talk’ and live responsibly, we eat organic and or biodynamic as much as we can, we keep active, we prioritise rest, we regularly attend events that stimulate our minds and souls, we keep a balanced outlook and we have regular Chiropractic care.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site and read about us. I look forward to meeting you in person. Don’t hesitate, you and your family deserve the best version of you.
