Meet Jan Louw

Adjusting patient on table

I love assisting people to make a difference in their lives.”

Daily, Jan Louw witnesses positive changes in his patients’ quality of life, whether pain reduction or relief of symptoms facilitated by chiropractic care.

Education and Early Experience

In 2005, Jan completed his chiropractic studies at Durban University of Technology in South Africa. He was initially exposed to chiropractic care as a 15-year-old aspiring cricketer with low back pain. Traditional treatments didn’t provide relief until he discovered chiropractic care. After just two sessions, his pain vanished, leaving him amazed and grateful. This experience ignited his fascination with the body’s natural healing abilities and set him on the path to becoming a chiropractor.

A Trusted and Effective Way to Address Many Conditions

Jan has witnessed firsthand chiropractic’s success in addressing various musculoskeletal conditions. From acute injuries to chronic pain, chiropractic care offers a safe, hands-on approach that can yield remarkable results. Jan’s career has been marked by the rapid improvement he has seen in patients, regardless of their age.

An Alternative to Medication

In recent years, Jan has noticed a growing disillusionment among patients with the limited treatment options available for musculoskeletal complaints within the NHS. “Many individuals seek alternatives to medication and are tired of long waiting lists without receiving hands-on care. Chiropractic care provides a viable solution, offering safe and effective treatment that works with the body to restore normal spinal movement and alleviate symptoms.”

Jan’s Approach

Jan primarily focuses on restoring neck posture and function using advanced techniques like the cervical Denneroll device. Additionally, he has undergone specialised training in Impulse Adjusting Instruments, allowing him to deliver gentle, specific, and safe adjustments to patients of all ages. He aims to enhance spinal biomechanics and pelvic alignment, bringing them as close to normal as possible to reduce discomfort and improve overall posture.

Jan is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

Personal Life and Interests

Outside of his practice, Jan cherishes spending quality time with his family. He is married with three children and enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, wild swimming, kayaking, and mountain biking. Most weekends are dedicated to cheering on his children as they participate in various sporting events, including tennis, swimming, surf lifesaving, triathlons, cricket, and football.
